Orchids provide a break from winter

If you go looking for it, you can find warmth in North Dakota’s cold winters.  I found it at the Baldwin Greenhouse. It’s attractive in so many ways, year round, but on a cold winter day, the 70 degree greenhouse is a good place to forget about winter, and look forward to spring.

Holding the orchids

Scott and Melanie are easy-going, very hospitable people.  Scott is especially dedicated to his orchids such as these delicate ones he is holding.  They work very hard at the greenhouse and have developed a loyal following.  People from all over this region sit up and pay attention if you mention Baldwin Greenhouse.  They’ve got a great reputation.  They’ve worked for it, and they deserve it.  The care they give to fragile orchids such as these shows their talent for making things grow.
